At La Michoacana Meat Market, the safety of our customers and employees is our priority. We are taking all available measures recommended by the Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention, as well as local and state health department guidelines.
We have reinforced proper handwashing and cough and sneeze hygiene and provided PPE such as masks and gloves to be worn at work. We have installed plexiglass dividers at our checkout lanes, and screen employees for fever and other COVID-19 symptoms before they begin working.
We have signage reminding you of social distancing guidelines. We have also limited the number of customers inside our stores and conduct frequent daily cleanings of high-touch surfaces including but not limited to carts and baskets, door handles, checkout lanes, glass doors, bathrooms, Barri counters, taqueria area, and ATMs. We also have temporarily stopped accepting returns of any purchased items. We are also limiting the quantity of certain high demand items to allow more customers to purchase the supplies they need.
At our taquerias, we have been offering food on a take-out basis only, but pursuant to Governor Abbott’s recent executive order, we will begin offering dine-in services again beginning May 1, 2020.
We will continue to monitor all COVID-19 developments and continue following all health department guidelines as they are released. We thank our customers for their support and employees for their hard work.
